I am afraid.
God says fear not.
I am angry.
God says forgive.
I am certain.
God says repent.
Receive oh human
the word of the Lord.

Enough!

Who is this human beast?

Are we mere consumers?

Grappling for pleasure and ease?

Or are we partners in creation?

Can we see the abundance around us

or only hear the gurgling of our bellies?

Will we share the bounty with all,

whether creature or human,

or simply grasp for what is and

like a toddler declare it mine?

Enough my friends! Enough!

There is enough pride and gluttony

to destroy the abundance we grasp.

But there is also enough grace and mercy

to save us all.

Where is your soul human beast?

Creation groans in this waiting.

How shall we side?
